Meet the Founder, Robert D. Onley, J.D.

Robert David Onley B.A. (Hons), J.D., has a wide range of practical business law experience from various industries.

After graduating from the University of Windsor Faculty of Law (2012), where he served as President of the Student Law Society, he was called to the Ontario Bar (2013) and then worked for the federal government in international security at Global Affairs Canada.

His legal career started in private practice as a corporate litigator, focusing on bankruptcy, insolvency and corporate fraud files.

Then he moved to in-house legal counsel with Payments Canada, gaining key experience in payments, finance, SaaS / tech, managed IT, employment, privacy and contracts.

He now works as the founder, CEO and General Counsel of NotaryPro.ca — a legal tech start-up and Canada’s premier online notary public service.

Robert is also the co-founder of the Young Diplomats of Canada, and an alumnus of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers Community. Robert is a dedicated father of 5 and a life long Leafs fan.
